Eastern Washington University Hockey is proud to announce the Winter Quarter GPA is the highest ever. The team had 12 out of 27 players on the Dean’s List, and a team GPA of 3.37. The 12 players on the Dean’s List are Paul Campbell, Brandon Price, Ryan Schank, Mike Truex, Sean Compton, Kris Boyce, Nick Kooiker, Race Bingman, Mike Jenson, Joel Blasko, Chris Rector, and Taylor McCaly. The Eagles head to Logan, Utah this week for the Western Regional tournament. The top two teams in the West (Colorado State and Weber) have an automatic bid to Nationals. The #3 and #4 spots are determined at the Regional tournament. The Eagles are ranked #4 going into the tournament but have to win on Friday and Saturday to retain that ranking and proceed onto Nationals. The game schedule is below.

Next weekend's games vs. Simon Frasier University (Feb. 6th and 7th) have been cancelled.
There will still be a game on Saturday Feb. 7th vs. the Spokane Grinders. Game time will be 4:30 p.m.

The first rankings are up, and Eastern is now ranked 4th in the western division. Eastern beat No. 1 Colorado State 4-3 last night in Colorado, hopefully the Eagles can beat No. 2 University of Colorado tonight.

Eastern Washington University Hockey tickets are now available. The Eagles have 2 exhibition games, 13 regular season home games, and is hosting a showcase tournament between EWU, Texas Tech, Colorado State, and San Jose State. The showcase will consist of three games for each team. Each day of the showcase will consist of 2 games the 1 st at 3:30pm and the 2 nd (EWU game) at 8:00pm. Your EWU season tickets will get you into any game you wish during the weekend. The season tickets are $65 a piece and get you 18 games at the new EWU Recreation Center. That breaks down to $3.61 a game. The regular season walk up price is $5 for all non-EWU students. With seating being limited at the new facility, it is a great way to guarantee your seat at every game.

Another hockey season has ended and the team is already planning for next year. The team is planning to play in the new Sports and Recreation Center on campus.
Having the games on campus will allow easier student access that will contribute to an exciting atmosphere during the games.
The grand opening is May 8 & 9.

The Eagles placed 12th at the National Championships that were held in Estero, Florida. The ACHA Div. II has 160 teams across the country and the top 16 teams meet at the National Tournament.
Davenport University from Grand Rapids, Michigan won the championship. Many EWU parents attended the games and when they weren't watching hockey, they were enjoying the sunshine and 80 degree temperatures.
